28/4/08 Snow in the Mountains

Snow has yet again adorned the mountains around Jindabyne, and this time there's enough of the magical white stuff for the back country skiers to get out and have a play. Here are some shots from the Perisher side of the Mountains.

9/2/08 REX is back

Mayor Richard Wallace has last night announced that when REX flights return to Cooma, they will be back for good. Summer and winter. REX had abandoned the Cooma run during the summer of 2007/08 due to a pilot shortage. Lets hope that there is a contract in place and no more reductions in the number of summer flights. Many community members were left with a sour taste in their mouth when REX first made the decision to stop flying to the Snowy's in summer, and if it happens again there could be a severe community backlash.

4/2/2008 Marinas for Jindabyne

The Lake Jindabyne Chamber of Commerce has been pushing for a marina in Jindabyne. Now it looks as though there are 2 potential marina sites on the southern foreshore. The first and easiest development may occur near the clay pits, adjacent to the Barry Way round about. We may be blessed with a coffee shop, ice cream shop, restaurant, stage on the park and maybe some lake based commercial outlets or even some club accommodation and storage for water craft.

21/12/07 Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Everyone at LJ Hooker Jindabyne would like to thank you all for a great year and would like to see you all again in the new year with the same happy and smiling faces that just enjoy the Snowy Mountains both in Winter for the Skiing and Summer for the fun activities.

Enjoy your Festive break  and have a Safe New Year celebration where ever you are at  this time of year.

1/12/07   LJ Hooker Jindabyne Expands Service offerings

That's rite LJ Hooker Jindabyne has expanded services with the up-skilling of Mick Eyers into the Business Agents area and David Uzzell into the Stock & Station Agents area.

With the complex nature of the Real Estate Industry as it is today each diverse section requires an Agent to be able to act in your best interest.

A Real Estate Agent can legally only act for you on property that is smaller than 20 hectares (close to 50 acres) and can only sell the actual land & building if it is a Business like a Motel or Lodge. When it comes to talking with prospective purchasers of your business, only Business Agents are legally able to talk about the actual business. Ensuring you have a Business Agent acting for your sale will ensure that you as the client and all prospective purchasers receive a superior service. With Rural land above 20 Hectares they must be Stock & Station Agents, specifically trained and licensed to work these types of sales.

These separate sections of the Real Estate Industry might seem a nuisance, but when it comes to working the sale effectively you will see the difference a fully licensed Real Estate Office can provide.

You will benefit from knowing that your agent is licensed and knowledgeable in all areas of the Real Estate industry.

Come in to see Mick or David in our Jindabyne Office for all your property matters.

1/6/2007  Bumper Pre Season Snowfalls

19/2/07   Holiday Home Owners Out In The Cold In The Snowies

Australia’s largest snow holiday retailer, wholesaler & real estate brand have united and will take millions of dollars in bookings away from the older Jindabyne agents. Many investment property owners may feel the sting with the booking agents now promising to fill the beds managed by the new agency.

The largest wholesale snow holiday booking agent in Australia, and preferred supplier to many of the countries largest and most successful travel agencies, Ski One, has teamed up with the number 1 retail snow holiday booking agency, Ski’n Save to form Australia’s first super agency for snow holidays. And to ensure the best management for the holiday properties they book, why not throw in Australia’s largest and most successful real estate brand, LJ Hooker.

Jindabyne’s new agency will launch on the first of March, and is offering exciting fee and commission alternatives to lure the holiday home owners. When you combine reasonable fees with plenty of bookings, alternative options pale in significance. Already almost twenty staff of the united trio of companies are busy booking holidays and preparing for the winter ahead.

If you are planning a snow holiday this winter call Ski’n Save on 1800 020 622 or if you’re planning to let your holiday home call LJ Hooker Jindabyne on 02 6451 2007, cause nobody does it better.
